The truth

The truth about surfing in Morocco.

I've watched a lot of trips go wrong here. People get loaded into a van of 15 and driven to the same beach every day, no matter the waves. They eat from stalls sitting in the sun and lose half their trip to a stomach bug. They paddle out at Anchor Point alone and get shouted off the wave.

None of that has to happen.

That's why I work the way I do.

Three Things,
Done Properly.

01 / Coaching

Real coaching.

I'm in the water with you, not on the beach watching. You get real feedback, the right wave, and enough of them to actually get better.

02 / Health

I keep you healthy.

Sealed water in the van. Lunches from places I trust, not stalls in the sun. No surfing near town for two days after heavy rain. Basic stuff that almost nobody does.

03 / Local

A local in the lineup.

I grew up here. I know which break is right for today's swell, and I know the surfers in the water. You get welcomed in. The right take-off. A session that feels good, not tense.

First time on a board or tenth trip to Morocco. The waves change. The care doesn't.

Who this is for

I work with how you surf, your pace.

First-timer

First time on a board.

You've never paddled into a wave. You're nervous about the ocean, the crowds, looking silly. You want to stand up and find out if you love it.

We start on the sand, with the right board for your size. Then a soft beach with no rocks. Banana Beach or Devil's Rock, depending on the morning. We work on standing up, finding your balance and catching waves at your own pace.

Where we go

  • Panorama Beach
  • Tamraght
  • Imsouane

Improver

You can stand. You want more.

You've surfed before, maybe a few sessions, maybe a camp last year. You can ride the whitewash, but you've never been on a real green wave. And you don't want to be stuck with the beginners again.

You won't be. We look for small point breaks that suit your level and the day's conditions. I'll help with your stance, your paddle and your timing. We'll work on trimming, turning and knowing which wave to catch and which one to let go.

Where we go

  • Hash Point
  • Imsouane
  • Banana Point

Advanced

You surf. You want the good stuff.

You came for the right reasons. Long, fast right-handers. Glass at sunrise. The waves that built this coast.

You don't need a lesson. You need someone who reads the swell at 6 AM and knows where to look at 8. Someone who knows the surfers in the water and helps you understand the lineup. That's the job.

Where we go

  • Anchor Point
  • Killer
  • Boilers
  • Imsouane
  • + a few I'd rather not list

About me

Who you're
surfing with.

I'm Abdul, a surf instructor from Tifnit. I started surfing when I was nine, and the ocean has been a big part of my life ever since. Between the ages of nine and seventeen, I trained, entered surf competitions and earned my surf instructor diploma.

I then worked with young students at a surf school, helping children discover surfing and build confidence in the water. In 2023, I moved to Taghazout to improve my English and work with surfers and travellers from around the world.

Today, surfing is my work, my passion and my way of connecting with people through the ocean. Whether you're catching your first wave or exploring a new break, I'll be there with you.

A day

What your day
actually looks like.

A typical surf day. Times and spots can change with the conditions and your pace.

  1. Forecast check.

I check the wind, swell, tide and water conditions, then send you the plan: where we're going and why. If conditions change overnight, the plan changes too.

  2. Pickup.

I'll pick you up from your Airbnb or hotel in Taghazout or Tamraght. We collect your board and wetsuit, with bottled water in the van.

  3. First spot.

We start with a beach briefing: the waves, the lineup, where to enter and exit, and what to watch out for. Beginners practise their pop-up on the sand before getting in.

  4. In the water.

Two hours with me alongside you. Beginners work on catching waves and standing up. Improvers focus on what's holding them back. Experienced surfers get local guidance on the break and lineup.

  5. Lunch.

We eat at a place I know and trust. Fresh tagine, grilled fish or a good sandwich on the beach—whatever fits the day.

  6. Second session.

If you've got the energy, we head back into the water to practise what you've learned. We'll adapt the session to the conditions and how you're feeling.

  7. Drop-off.

Back to your place, with time to relax. If you're surfing again tomorrow, I'll send the next plan on WhatsApp.

FAQ

Questions before
you catch a wave?

Before booking

I've never surfed. Is this really safe?

You can start as a complete beginner. We practise on the sand first, choose a spot for your level and go through the conditions before entering the water. I'll be alongside you, but surfing is an ocean activity and no session is risk-free. Tell me about any concerns before we plan your lesson.

Do I need to be fit?

Tell me how comfortable you are in the water and about any limits that could affect your session. We can discuss the pace and what to expect before you book.

What's the best time of year for my level?

Send me your travel dates and surfing experience on WhatsApp. I'll help you plan around your level and explain what to expect. The spot we surf depends on the day's conditions.

Logistics

Do you pick up from Agadir airport?

Airport transfers are included in the Full Trip package. For a Day Session or 6-Day Surf Trip, message me to discuss airport pickup separately.

Do I book my own stay, or can you organise it?

Either works. Book your own accommodation for a Day Session or 6-Day Surf Trip, or choose the Full Trip and I'll organise an Airbnb or hostel with you.

Can you handle a group, a family, or a couple at different levels?

Send me your group size, ages and everyone's surfing experience. We'll discuss the right arrangement and confirm what I can offer for your dates before you book.

Money and conditions

How do I pay?

Message me on WhatsApp to confirm your package, total price and payment arrangements before booking.

What's your cancellation policy?

Ask me for the cancellation terms for your package and dates on WhatsApp before booking.

Still have a question? Send it on WhatsApp. I answer every message myself.
